Chinese Wolfberry

I’ve always considered myself a little bit of a health nut, so it surprised me a little when I discovered a new super fruit known as the chinese wolfberry. Of course this fruit really isn’t new. The Chinese and even the wolves have known about it for centuries.

Chocked full of antioxidants, vitamins B1, B6, C and E, essential fatty acids, 21 trace elements and 18 amino acids, these berries are an excellent way to stay healthy!

Unfortunately as great as these little guys sound, they’re also very hard to come by. You do have a few options, however.

If you live in an area where a Chinese market is available, you can look for the berries there. More than likely however, they’ll be dried. Try to find ones that are 100% natural since sugar and other additives are dangerous and they can cause severe health problems. The dried berries can be added to cereals, breakfast shakes, oatmeal or eaten as is. They can also be steamed and used as a juice or made into a tea.

Some manufacturers are beginning to offer juices and shakes made from wolfberries. If this sounds like an option for you, look for one where it is one of the main ingredients and skip those that are full of unnatural ingredients.

A third option would be a liquid nutritional health supplement. Look for the wolfberry in a
natural liquid vitamin supplement that is 100% natural. A liquid vitamin is much easier to take than pill or capsule form and safer. Remember, Mother Nature is best. Why take chances on your health?
